Support Engineer/Technician

We are in the process of expanding our team and are looking for help. We are small but dynamic supplier of products and services embedded in the global semiconductor manufacturing sector with the major European chip makers.
The role involves helping customers with technical and pre-sales issues on production tools mainly in the UK, Ireland and sometimes Scandinavia. Installations at customer sites will also be required, often with factory support. A full passport and driving licence are required.

After initial training at supplier facilities, support to customers is often via phone remote via microsoft teams etc, with occasional site visits where the situation dictates. The ability to provide one or two days on-site customer training to a first level will also be required for some products. Full factory backup is available depending on product.

Track and cluster tool photolithography tools for coating and developing

Direct Write and Laser systems

Plus: Various Wafer/Device Test & Assembly equipment and other products supported or sourced

As part of a small team, the tasks are very varied so a flexible and motivated attitude is essential, as is the ability to organise time and respond to customers in a timely, professional and detailed manner. Experience of working in a global sector and being aware of time zone issues would be of benefit.

The company was proudly awarded “Supplier of the Year 2023” by the NMI/Techworks customer base (The industry trade association for the UK & Ireland)
Additional Information

The company would consider part time, either as employee or independent self-employed if dedicated to specific tools and agreed availability, but relevant expertise would be required. The role can also grow according to any successful candidate skill set.
